mandie_rwMy current mindset appears to be something along the lines of: If I cut every single piece of every damn dress pattern I can and put them all in a pile, I will eventually finish something. I do not think this is valid.
...Well, really I was going to start sewing the pink dress tonight, but then realized I have no pink thread that matches the fabric. Dammit. So then I cut out the pieces to the jacket that goes with the black and white striped 1947 Butterick dress, and put them in a pile on top of the already existing pile of pink pieces.
SO VERY EXCITING.
I really need to get my sister to take pictures of me in the dresses I have finished so it looks like I Do Stuff. (Even the non-matched Burda dress. *mumble mumble mumble* I'll just wear it somewhere I can have my back to the wall all the time.)
Guess I should go practice guitar. Added bonus of regular guitar-practicing: I can now stab the tips of the fingers on my left hand while pinning pattern pieces and not feel it. ...Unless I poke the pin particularly hard.
