I understand why they don't (they also often don't want to watch old familiar movies), but I just don't feel the same way they do. I've got shelves and shelves of books I would gladly reread. That was my criterion for sorting through books before I last moved - would I like to reread it? Keep it. Am I quite sure I'll never reread it (or is it falling apart)? Dispose of it.

I've read The Count of Monte Cristo at least twice. Someday I'll get around to rereading the whole of Dumas' Musketeer cycle, but somehow I just keep not doing it. The Palliser novels will probably never be reread, though...(I mention them only because I'm currently reading the last of that series.)
