Spoon bonnets

Happy Friday! I actually have time to post something!

Actually finished Robin's last Sunday night but, details. At least I remembered that I wanted to take pictures at all!

Both of these are tall enough that the velvet ribbon trick may not suffice - combs may be required to cheat gravity. (This is a "not my problem, they're your bonnets now" problem. *grin*) Or maybe Velcro... or a staple gun. I dunno.

[personal profile] hiraimi 's is black shantung, in a nod to "sensible"...at least in color, if not style!

[personal profile] robinsnest 's? Just...generally impractical, LOL! Hey, she asked for it...

(Last included on an actual head for scale, since the styrofoam head is not quite full sized and thus makes the bonnets look even more ridiculous than they really are!

Hurrah for bonnety goodness! I like that they still look very spoon and tall even with a live head.

Those are so fantastic! Did you use a pattern for them, and if so, which one?
