Favorite eras...hmmm. I'd have to say:

16th century (mostly England, but the Italians are cool too...check out my "venetian" tag for my venetian dress I made last fall if you're interested)
18th century
19th century
early 20th century

Also: ancient Egypt, Rome (republic and empire)

Really, anything about England/British Isles from the Norman conquest onward just fascinates me. The specifics I mentioned first also apply to the costuming! ;)
