I may have been overambitious in my sewing goals for today...I only ended up cutting out the back lining piece, and even that's not finished. To be fair, it's because of the eyelets (to lace up the back). There are 16, and I only finished 8. Because I HATE eyelets. That's okay; I still think I can get this done in a week (which I decided was my arbitrary goal for finishing the pet en 'air). Unless I hit a wall when it comes to the sleeves...
Also, I got to go to the thrift store of Awesomeness (it seems like I post about this thrift store a lot...I think I'm giving it its own tag!) today. Good haul, as usual, though I did spend about twenty minutes looking for the actual record to a sleeve of a Doors album that was nowhere to be found (usually I have better luck with the records! Lame). I did get two adorable little purses, four pairs of pantyhose (two are glitter - gold and white, and two are colors - aqua and yellow; one's in packaging from a store my mother recognized as having gone out of business around 1985...I love ridiculous old hosiery so much, and yes, I will totally rock glitter pantyhose at some appropriate point!), a boring beige striped sheet to use for a petticoat to go over the Big-Ass Rump, and two pairs of shoes: one pair because they were just too cute (and they make me want another vintage-y dress!) and one pair to be re-covered, because the heel shape looked about right for what I wanted. *tries to be all mysterious*Also, it is pretty difficult to take pictures of your own feet, I have just discovered.
