So I finished the hat - trimmed and everything. Hooray I have a hat...okay, now let's get back to the dress so I have something to wear with said hat! It's kinda smart, though, I think. I was going to get some light pink feathers to go on it, but I tried out the white ones I had and liked it just fine, so, white feather it is. Save money where we can, right? Heh.
Crappy pictures, but whatever. Get better ones when I wear it, right? Proof it's done anyway!

And I used a fun buckle from the stash!

And then I did work on the actual dress too, yay me. Used up the very last scraps of the pink silk to make a wimpy sort of facing for the waistcoat CF and bottoms...the neckline facing had to be cotton because there just wasn't enough! Now I can do the buttons and buttonholes, oh joy.

The bottoms may or may not entirely line up. *shifty eyes* Also note the widdle armpit bit that didn't get any silk pieced in, because I know that won't be seen!
And I finished sewing the four back pieces; now I have to baste a ton of edges. I didn't bother basting the back pieces before I sewed them, but I have to do a bunch of fitting before I sew the waistcoat pieces and the front gown pieces to the back pieces...so FINE, I'll baste them. *grump*

Very shaped, but still quite a bit of volume in that skirt! Pattern doesn't call for any, but I may well end up adding ties to keep it all under control. We shall see.
