Pumpkin Tea!
Because now I'm friends with The Cool People and get to go to these things. *happy wriggle* Drove down to VA with Robin, Kat, and Jess for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sadievale's Pumpkin Tea this weekend. Many many thanks to her and her mom for having us all! There was good company and lots of good food...also a lot of costume scheming! More on that in a little bit...
Can't avoid the shoe shot! Look at all those shoes!
And this was about my feelings towards my own outfit:
Though the hat was great fun to wear and a perfect fall-ish color (thanks todragoneyes19 for having good headwear to spare!). I think I look a bit twerpy and, oh, unfinished, but other people seemed to actually like it, so.
(As usual I liked everybody else's outfit far better than my own. There were quite a few new frocks, and everyone looked great!)
Also it did turn out to be actually weather-appropriate - quite warm this weekend! I'd have had to take the spencer off for most of the afternoon if I'd had it, anyway.
I may end up leaving the pompoms off the hem, as Robin may be giving me her leftovers from her deliciously obnoxious plaid silk dress so I can make another spencer to wear with this dress (and then we can be matchy-matchy together, which we would find hilarious). And I don't think I'd like pompoms AND plaid. Dunno. We'll see. Probably should make Spencer Number One first, anyway.
And Gloria/quincy134 got a few more shots of my dress, where I'm not making dumb faces...
And from the back, where I thankfully can't make dumb faces! Just noticed I don't like the curve on that armseye, whoops...
Gloria also got some neat shots of Jess and I trying to fall down the hill! Love how these look.
jennylafleur got some hill action shots as well.
No, I don't know what it is about running down hills and lawns in costume, I just think it's too much fun!
