I should be packing, but that holds no appeal whatsoever. At least I did do my laundry. Dowanna go back to classes! *whine*

heidilea had a very nice tea/fabric swap today (which lasted far longer than anyone anticipated, but I blame the awesomeness of the cake and the adorableness of the cats!); all the food was good (one kitty thought especially highly of the meatballs and kept trying to get them), but the cake and chai tea were fantastic. I think I must have eaten five or six pieces! That makes me sound like a fatass, but oh well. It really was that good. *grin*
Among a few other odds and ends, I brought my striped silk *coughblend?cough* to trade, because I've had it for a couple of years, and even though I love it, it's never told me exactly what it wants to be. So off it went to a new home.
Somehow I ended up coming home with more fabric than I went with (how does that happen?)... red wool, brown velveteen, and slightly shockingly pink silk.
That pink's a shade or two lighter in real life, but the phrase "bubblegum pink" does come to mind. Usually I wouldn't be attracted to something so freaking PINK, but it told me to take it home, and, well...I think it wants to be a 1950s dress. Not sure what pattern yet...well, I've got time to think about it...
