I know, I know, I said I'd finish the 1940s dress today. But I lied. Actually, I'd probably have been able to finish it tonight if I hadn't apparently been suffering from a case of Teh Stoopid when I cut out the pieces. See, I put in the snaps so I could try it on properly to mark the hem, and tried the dress on. Didn't fit; was too big. By inches, too. Hmm. Looked at the tissue pattern pieces and discovered why; I cut out a size 8. Um, I'm not an  8. In fact, even when I cut out a 6, I tend to have to take them in a bit, at least in Vogue patterns. So...I guess I was feeling fat the day I cut out this pattern? I don't even know.

It's not a hard fix; I can just take it in at the back seam, but it's annoying enough to make me put it off until tomorrow! Plus I still need to cut out quilt squares so I can sew them on the bus tomorrow. *GROAN*

XD I can't help it, it's genetics; my dad and all his side of the family were apparently tiny, hehe! My mother always makes me feel better about that by reassuring me that all the Wood women got really fat by the time they hit 30. Thanks, Mom.
