I am happy to see the 1830s with the crazy big hair and sleeves.
In 2014, a bunch of us made 1830s gowns to wear to a ball as our own mini theme. It was great fun

Looks like there may be an 1830s picnic in Northern CA next year. No dates, yet, and yours sounds delightful with the double feature event.
