Trim, part 1: Sleeve flounces

3/4 of the sleeve flounces are sewn on, which is unimpressive, but this weekend is full of Going Outside The House and Doing Things, which is very disruptive of flounce-sewing.

A sleeve with two flounces.

One lonely flounce, pre-attachment - one of the lower ones.

And a closeup of the pinking. I'm doing this trim because I hate my wrists, apparently.

Well, really it's because I'm basing my jacket/outfit in general on this one from the KCI's collection...

...and that's the closest I can get to that style of trim using pinking shears and stork scissors. *flop*

The little perforations in the scallops look especially sad close up, but the overall effect is pretty good, so, yes, I do plan on continuing to cut out miles of scallops for the trim on the robings.

At least this will count for the Embellishment Historical Sew Fortnightly challenge?
